As you access your account for the first time you will come across our LiveView map. In this map, you will see all your vehicles once they have been activated and connected. There are a couple of things to note to start using Fleetr.

• Once the devices have been connected to your vehicle, you will need to initiate a trip for more than 3 minutes to start seeing the vehicle on the map.
• When a vehicle is moving, the vehicle will update its location every minute.

In this article, I will be discussing several subjects of our LiveView functionalities:

• Driver Tooltip
• Vehicle Status
• Asset Trackers
• Satellite View
• Trips

Driver Tooltip

Driver Tooltip informs you of all the details you need to know about a specific vehicle or driver. If you hover your mouse over a specific driver you will be able to see:

• Drivers name
• The model name of the vehicle
• License plate
• Status of vehicle
• The last update received from the device

Vehicle Status

You will see that vehicles have 3 states in our LiveView. 

Driven vehicle: When a vehicle has this status it means that is actively engaged in a trip and moving.

Stopped: This means that the vehicle is stationary with the engine off.

No signal vehicle: If a vehicle was driving but has lost its signal for more than 20 minutes.

Asset Trackers

There is a different type of marker that you will see in our LiveView map called Asset Trackers. 

Asset trackers will be identified with a white marker as per the picture below:

If you hover your mouse over the Asset Tracker you will see the following information:

• Key-Code: It is a unique asset tracker identifier
• Battery Life
• Last report date and time
• Kind of asset tracker

We have two types of asset trackers, there is our Wired 12V Asset Tracker and USB Asset Tracker which is rechargeable using a Micro USB cord.

Satellite View

If you are looking for a more detailed view of where your vehicles are you can click on our Satellite View feature on the top right of your map.

Trips

Our Trips feature is where you can see a history of trips for every driver for a specific date. To access Trips you can just click on a driver, a side panel will open to the left with the chosen driver with a button to access.

Every trip starts recording when a vehicle's ignition is turned on, turning off the vehicle marks the end of that specific trip. Once you open a specific trip you will see the following information:

• Point A address: where vehicle started the strip
• Point B address: where the vehicle ended the trip
• Distance of trip
• Duration of trip
• Maximum velocity for that trip

The trip will also show the trajectory of the vehicle in that specific trip on the LiveView map in addition to the events that happened in the Trip with designated markers. The events that we record are:

• Speeding (uses the contextual speed of the road travelled)

• Idling: Vehicle's engine running while the vehicle is not in motion for more than 5 minutes

• Hard acceleration: depending on the vehicle, occurs when a certain speed is reached abruptly (i.e going from 0 to 60mph).

• Hard braking: it means that the braking was too hard or abrupt(i.e going from 60 to 0mph)

Note: Every event will be identified with a marker except speeding, speeding is identified with a red line along the trip.
