Asset Tracker Quick Set Up

We are excited that you have chosen to partner with us! This is a quick setup guide to your asset tracker device.

1.
Power & Turn On the Device:

USB Rechargeable Model: Charge for 5 hours before use. Once charged, press and hold the small red button for 5 seconds to turn the device on. You will know it is powered on when the LED lights begin to blink (Red indicates GPS status; Blue indicates Cellular connection). Updates every 3 hours; battery lasts up to 1 year.
Hardwired Model: Connect directly to the asset's 12V battery terminal.

Mount the Tracker:

Attach the unit inside or outside using zip ties, screws, double-sided tape, or rivets.

Signal Rule: Keep the top of the unit facing the open sky. The signal passes through plastic and fiberglass, but metal and dense wiring will block it.

Weatherproof the Unit:

For exterior installations.

Insert the rubber dust plug securely into the charging port. Apply the included adhesive PVC covers over any exposed mounting holes to prevent water damage.

Signal & Battery Notes

Signal Fallback: If GPS is blocked (e.g., inside a metal building), the tracker switches to cell tower trilateration to provide a general location within a 1/2 mile.
Battery Drain: Continual movement and relying on cell trilateration will drain the battery faster on rechargeable models.
