The Fleetr hardware device acts as the vital link between your physical fleet and your software dashboard. By plugging directly into the vehicle (via the OBD port or wired installation), the device pulls real-time telemetry data to power the platform's core features.

Connecting the device is required to track:

• Live Location: Powers the live map and GPS tracking history.

• Driver Performance: Captures G-force and speed data (hard braking, rapid acceleration, overspeeding) to generate Driver Safety and Efficiency scores.

• Vehicle Health: Reads the engine's internal computer to capture Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and accurately estimate mileage for preventative maintenance alerts.

Without the device installed and transmitting, Fleetr cannot update vehicle location or performance metrics.
