The Maintenance module in Fleetr provides a centralized dashboard to track vehicle diagnostic health, manage odometer baseline readings, and configure preventative service alerts based on configured mileage thresholds.
Access the Maintenance tab in the main navigation menu to view four primary management sections:
Diagnostics: Lists active Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) across the fleet, filterable by severity status (Critical, Requires attention, Normal).
Maintenance: Dedicated scheduled maintenance manager to view, set up, and track service tasks per vehicle.
Odometer: Fleet-wide onboarding view showing vehicles that are configured vs. those that need baseline odometer setup.
An accurate baseline odometer reading is required before setting up maintenance alerts.
Navigate to either the Odometer sub-tab or select a vehicle under the Maintenance sub-tab.
Click Set Odometer (or Edit Odometer in the upper-right corner of the vehicle view).
In the side drawer, enter the current mileage reading from the vehicle's physical dashboard and click Save Odometer.
Note: Fleetr automatically tracks ongoing mileage by adding trip distances reported by the OBD tracker to your baseline reading. You can update this value at any time if a discrepancy occurs. Note that setting a new odometer value lower than an existing maintenance start threshold is not permitted.
Once the odometer is configured, you can set up service schedules:
Select a vehicle in the Maintenance sub-tab and click Add Maintenance.
Select a category from the Maintenance Type dropdown:
General Maintenance
Oil
Brake Pads
Filter
Confirm the Start Odometer (automatically populated with the vehicle's current mileage).
Enter the End Odometer mileage threshold when the service will be due.
Click Save.
Note: Vehicles support a maximum of 4 maintenance tasks (one per maintenance type). Adding a maintenance type that is already configured will update the existing schedule rather than creating a duplicate entry.
Fleetr continuously compares reported trip mileage against your target threshold and displays visual status indicators on each maintenance progress bar:
OK (Green): Normal operational range ($0\%\text{ to }84\%$ of target interval).
Warning (Orange / 85%): Triggered when the vehicle reaches $85\%$ of the configured mileage interval to allow time for scheduling service.
Critical (Red / 100%): Triggered when the vehicle reaches or exceeds $100\%$ of the target mileage, indicating immediate service is required.
