Geofences allow you to set up virtual perimeters around specific landmarks or locations so you can receive alerts whenever your vehicles enter or exit the area.

How to Create a Geofence

Geofence

1. Open the Geofence module from the left-side navigation panel and click Create Geofence at the bottom of the screen.

2. Geofence Name: Enter a recognizable name to distinguish this location.

3. Alert Configuration & Schedule: Choose whether you want to be alerted when a vehicle enters the area, exits the area, or both. Then, set the active schedule for when these alerts should trigger.

4. Add Vehicles: Select the specific vehicles or drivers that should trigger this geofence's alerts.

5. Draw the Area: Zoom in on the map to locate your target area. Choose a drawing tool:

   • Radius: Click and hold on the map, then drag outward to expand a circular perimeter.

   • Polygon: Click around the map to drop pins, connecting all the points to form a custom shape.

   • (Note: If you make a mistake while drawing, press the "ESC" key on your keyboard to start over).

6. Click Save.
   

7. Set as active

Managing Existing Geofences

Once created, you can easily update your geofences directly from the Geofence module list.

• Activate / Deactivate: Click the toggle switch next to a geofence to turn its notifications on or off.

• Edit: Click directly on an existing geofence to update its name, alert schedule, assigned vehicles, or shape. Always click Save to apply your changes.

• Delete: Click the three-dot menu (breadcrumbs) to the right of the geofence and select Delete. Please note that deleted geofences cannot be recovered.
