How does the asset tracker determine its location?

The device calculates its position using GPS signals. If GPS is obscured (such as inside a metal building), it falls back to Cell Tower Trilateration to estimate location within a 1/2-mile radius.

How often does the tracker report location?

• USB Rechargeable Model: Updates every 3 hours (battery lasts up to 1 year under minimal reporting conditions).

• Hardwired Model: Updates every 30 seconds (draws continuous power from the asset battery).
